ICF Welcomes New Board Members

At the Annual Meeting on November 6, 2010, the Intervale Community Farm Cooperative Membership elected three new board members:  Meg Klepack, Will Robb, and Mary Twitchell. Co-op members also re-elected Christopher McCandless and bid a grateful farewell to Cindy Houston, Dave Rider, and Michael Healy. Meg Klepack is currently the Local Foods Coordinator for City Market, a former NOFA-VT employee, and a previous part-time staff member of ICF.  Will Robb is a long-time member of ICF who has raised two kids on farm vegetables.  For several years, he has harvested with the ICF staff as a working member, and was a previous Steering Committee member of ICF.  He recently completed an MBA in managing for sustainability, with a focus on food systems, working with the Northern Grain Growers Association as part of his thesis project.  Mary Twitchell is a self-described "BIG fan of the Intervale Community Farm." She is an avid long-time gardener and has been a member of ICF for nine years.  Christopher McCandless has been an ICF Steering Committee and Board Member since 2001.  During that time, he has helped guide the farm through crucial transitions and has taken a particular interest in making the jobs at ICF sustainable and fulfilling.  We are thrilled to welcome the new board members: Meg, Will, and Mary, and welcome back, Christopher.

We are also grateful to the generous time from Cindy Houston, Dave Rider, and Michael Healy as they complete their terms as ICF Board Members.  In particular, Michael has been a long-serving board member and a guiding influence in the governance of the ICF over many years.  You will all be missed greatly - and thank you deeply for all you have offered the farm.
