Welcome New ICF Cooperative Board Member Johanna Doren
Congratulations and thank you to our three recently elected ICF Cooperative Board members, incumbents Jacob Holzberg-Pill and Mark Twery, and new member Johanna Doren, all elected to 3-year terms. Intervale Community Farm depends on our elected ICF Co-op board members to craft the future vision and direction of ICF, and we are grateful to all of our board members for agreeing to serve on behalf of our community farm.
Johanna joins the board as a community partner of ICF in her role as the Direct Markets & Local Food Access Director at the Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont (NOFA-VT). Johanna said best why she wanted to join the ICF Cooperative Board:
“The first time I witnessed an ICF pick-up, I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of. Since then, I’ve been grateful to see how ICF really stands by the values of what community supported agriculture stands for – farmers supporting the community with nutritious food, the community investing in the farm in the best times and in the greatest times of need, and everyone working towards a just food and agricultural system. I would love to serve on the Board as a way to further support the ICF community, and help grapple with the challenges of climate change and strengthen ICF’s commitment to food justice.”
